Arguably one of Ib Kofod-Larsen's best-known designs, The Seal is an elegant armchair typical of its time – and yet entirely timeless. The angled frame and armrests and leather upholstery put comfort at the fore, inviting lounging. And despite being made of heavy materials, it has a lightness to it; the shell appears to float inside the wooden frame. Named after the Swedish ski resort, Sälen, and not the animal, The Seal is a fine example of Ib Kofod-Larsen's organic design and focus on detail and comfort.
